Race Factor

The Race Factor in today's politics:
Lets not get caught up in years past where race or being different mattered. I hope that most of us have learned from the past and the horrors that were imposed on people with different colors of skin than our own. In the beginning we killed and tortured Indians because they were different and then we moved on to do the same to the slaves we kept. In all we as white Americans should be ashamed of our ancestor's and the way they treated people of difference.
I hope that we have all out grown such bad behavior and realize that just because one skin color is different does not mean that they are bad. It is time to judge a person as a person and not a ethnic stereo type. If we as people ever really want to progress in life as humans on this planet then we need to come together as humans with equal rights among all of us. Man, woman, black, brown, and white need the right to live as humans with equal rights.
Tonight CNN did a special on whether race would play a factor in the POLITICAL RACE. I watched this and my eyes were opened to one thing. It seems that the older generation has more hang ups over race than the middle age group or younger group. Now this is a shame because so many of these people lived through some very tough racily times. You would think that with seeing first hand the abuse that occurred to innocent people was wrong, they would be more understanding and respectful of all people.
This group is mostly Senior Citizens that say they "I will never vote for a black man for President" What is it fear that your past treatment of these people will come back to haunt you? I want to know how some of you sleep at night with thoughts like this? Let walk backwards in time for a few words. So many white people turn their heads to the beatings, the cross burnings, the spitting on black people as they walked by, the sitting on the back of the bus, coming in the back door of a business, black bathrooms only, and so on! It is today's Seniors that let all this take place and turned a blind eye to it and if anything you should be ashamed of yourself for not standing up for a simple human right. That right is the same as yours to be happy and raise a family. I would hope to think that just one of them would be in the shoes of just one black person that watched as the cross burned in their yard, the fear on their children's face as they watched there daddy being beaten to death in the front yard or hung from the tree on the side of the house. Just think if it was your children watching this take place to your husband. Now if you are truly a white bible thumping christian that at one time turned your head to all of this I would hate to be you on judgement day. The bible says judge he not unless you be judged and the ALMIGHTY will judge you hard. It is time to do what is right and simply judge the politics and not the color, age, but the person and what they will do for our country as a whole.

GET INVOLVED

GET INVOLVED:

Last night I received a phone call that was mostly for my wife but I was also asked to lend my help. My wife will be doing office work as a volunteer for the Obama Camp and I will be volunteering my time to canvas the neighborhood in my home town. I figure I can either keep writing and reach people or I can do something to help the cause for him. I was undecided until a few days ago but when I saw McCain being so indecisive and changing his vote on the Bailout it was all over with for him in my book.

If you get involved it will make you fill good about yourself and it also will give you for sight on the issues at hand. I just can not think of having another four years of BUSH with McCain at the helm. My income has dropped almost half from the early to mid 90's til present. I can not afford another four years of almost being almost broke. VOTE FOR OBAMA so we might have a chance to make some money again, have better health care, better education for our children, and hope in the system again.

VICE PRESIDENT DEBATE

WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE?
TONIGHT HISTORY WAS MADE AND MANY DIFFERENT WAYS. FIRST OFF WE HAD THE FIRST EVER WOMAN VICE PRESIDENT CANDIDATE EVER IN HISTORY. SECOND, WE HAD A DEBATE THAT WAS HELD UP TO STANDARDS UNDER THE FINANCIAL CRISIS WE ARE IN. THIRD, WE HAD LIVE CORRESPONDENCE WORLD WIDE.
NOW WITH ALL THAT STATED AND OUT OF THE WAY, WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE?
I THINK FOR ME AS I WATCHED ALONG CNN'S LIVE FEED WOULD HAVE TO BE BIDEN. I THINK HE HELD HIMSELF TO A HIGH STANDARD AND DID IT WITH GRACE. WHILE PALIN KEPT DANCING AROUND THE QUESTIONS ASKED HER AND MANY TIMES SHE FELLED TO ANSWER THE QUESTION. SHE SEEMED VERY RESTLESS IN THE BEGINNING AND AT THE END SHE WAS STARTING TO CAMLN DOWN. I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK SHE DID A FINE JOB AND SHE DID HOLD HER OWN AND THAT MADE FOR A GREAT DEBATE. IT STILL REMAINS THE ISSUES AND THE TIME FOR A CHANGE IN POLITICS THAT IS MOST IMPORTANT AND I FEEL OBAMA AND BIDEN HAVE A BETTER PLAN FOR CHANGE.
SO HOW DO YOU FEEL ON THIS DEBATE?

LETS BE REAL, WE ALL OUR TO BLAME!

LETS BE REAL, WE ALL OUR TO BLAME!

I have set back and listened time after time( I have also done this, too!) that it is the President to blame, it is the Congress to blame, it really is all our fault when you stop and look at it as a whole.

The American people have been living well over their means for years and now it is catching up to us all. It seems that what ever Congress does it will only be for the short term fix, but it must come from each of us to make it a long term fix!

Let me explain before you start to get all pissed off. How people do you know that think the more stuff they own is a show of prosperity? How many people do you know that think by driving a high dollar car shows how successful they are? Do you get my point here?

Now how many of these people have bought all of these things on credit with little to no money down to obtain these items? The old adage of: It's not what you do with your money that makes you who you are but how you control your money will make you more than you are. It seems that people want others approval more than they want to do what is right to survive.

So if you understand as I do then it must start with us and all of us to re-think what we are doing with our money. We must all start to pay down our debt and stop buying things we do not need. Here is something real easy to do to get a person started in doing just this! The next time you go to the store and you reach for an item ask yourself is this a want or a need? If you just want it then put it back if it is a need to survive item then buy it. If you can not pay cash for it the put it back. Before long you will see just how much crap you do not need and the little amount you need to survive. I welcome your comments on this so put your two bits in.
